Fruit Tea, anyone?
I caught this photo mid-preparation, as I hurried to make my son a cup of fruit tea. I used a dried fruit concoction purchased at a local specialty store, which makes for a sweetened hot drink that the little ones love to nurse. Great for a cold winter day.
Docs on Walks, a Series
When I was first dabbling in video creation, I made up a short series and based it on the Seinfeld's "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee." Mine didn't end up as funny (can one really make funny content when she's walking with docs?), but it ended up pretty cool nonetheless. Check it out in my "portfolio" section, if you have time to kill..
How to Earn the Title "Best Mad Libber"
I earned it, suckers! (But you can, too). Read my silly post about having earned this title and how you, too, can kinda, maybe, possibly, earn it too. In my writing section.
digital advice shorties
I'm a big supporter of "going easy on yourself". We're human, and humans make mistakes. But I'm also quite big on regular re-assessments. Check in with a quick maintenance introspection (get it? Wordplay on "inspection") in order to grow in a direction you're proud of. Find this and other "digital advice shorties" in my section called.. well, Digital Advice Shorties".
Focus. Big Picture.
So many of us are focused on the day to day minutia that we forget to take in the whole thing. Live your life. Get out there and don't be afraid to do you.
Feet
Sometimes you have to just put your feet up. I'm thinking of starting a gallery collection of iPhotos that's literally called "FEET". Thoughts?
Medscape logo
Medscape republished an article they asked me to write, after stepping away from medicine. It got a lot of attention - positive and negative - as any extreme share on media gets (how can a physician step away from medicine?? You can only imagine the backlash). But it also gave me the opportunity to hear what people think about an extreme move such as this. When you publish in mainstream media, you can truly get an objective response. I'm so very appreciative. And I'm still weighing whether I should respond (to set records straight..)
Eclair Row.
The next book I'm going to write (I like to pretend I write books even if I haven't written a book in my life and have only written blog posts!) is going to take place on a street called "Eclair Row". Not for any particular reason other than it being a cool name. And because I envision the person residing in it to have an eclectic collection of neighbors.
Don't Make a "To-Do" List. Make a "Done" List.
I really loved this little advice tidbit from Debra Eckerling, who was a speaker in my recent series I called "Even Doctors Need Life Lessons". It's a great tool for those of you out there who are so hyper-focused on what still needs to be done, rather than feeling proud about what you've achieved. It's all about balance, really.
Out to Lunch with Mary.
Have you met Mary? I was out to lunch with her the other day. Or at least my imagination thinks I was. Either way, it makes for a great pic to share. "Fear is stupid. So are regrets." I love that she said this.
Branding tip for doctors, #4: Choose a name that conveys what you do, when possible.
A little "sneak peek" into one of the 10 tips I'll be releasing each Wednesday starting this month. It's one in a series of branding tips, for any human who wants to conquer the digital space. Find it by clicking into my portfolio. There, you'll find it under writing and can subscribe

Pass on the gift of good communication with my latest board game rec for your family. It'll be in the "Play Games" section of my blog, which is getting revamped. I call it my "website facelift". 'Cause it's funny.
Quotes that Make You Go Hmmm
I've found moved so the things some people say. The most fascinating part of this, I find, is that it doesn't really matter what time period or era you've lived in; humans seem to struggle with similar things. So I'm collecting the quotes and hoping to add more inspirational sayings that move us all, in one space. Stay tuned.
I Heart Creating.
Creating, for me, is the most exhilarating pastime; especially when I can incorporate it with experiences I have with loved ones. to create a memory - written or visual - means I get to take it with me, wherever I go, and look back on it whenever I want. I really heart creating. (pictured, my son, in an image I created years ago..)
