Have you been told NO enough times that you just feel like giving up?
I get it. I’ve been there SO many times.
SoMeDocs asked that question the other day, on their Instagram page, along with an image of NO.
Here’s what I said, in response to the query:
“Me. A million times me.”
I’ve been told no repeatedly in life;
again
and again
and again
and again.
In fact, I’m quite fond of the word NO. Not because it’s the one I want to hear, but because it’s the one that has pushed me MOST.
I’ve pushed through the no’s of standardized testing.
the no’s of acceptance into schools that were competitive to get into.
The no’s of ideas I’ve excitedly come up with, but that others pushed aside with disinterest.
The no’s of those who didn’t understand what I was building, and didn’t want to hop on.
Those who didn’t want me to succeed, but said that they did.
The no’s of those who didn’t want me to come along on THEIR ride, but ask me to come on board now.
I’m quite fond of the word NO. Not because it’s the one I want to hear, but because it’s the one that has pushed me MOST.
You want to know the truth?
I love that word because it makes us ACT.
I’ve become more determined and have strengthened my determination thanks to my NO.
Even those times when all I heard was:
Let those NO’s be fuel to your powerful drive.
Prove to the NO’s they were so wrong, that they should have been YES’s all along.

When you stay strong and push forward, NO NO’s can hold you down.
When you believe in yourself, and give YOURSELF a YES, you come out ahead.
